Contamination in the seal area can create weak, inconsistent or sticking seals and should be checked before replacing parts.

Seal area
Seal contamination can come from product dust, film residue, adhesive, labels, loose fibres or debris. It can prevent consistent heat transfer and may cause sticking, drag marks or incomplete separation.
Before replacing a seal wire or blade, record the contamination source, film type, product handling and how the fault appears across several packs.
